So, this is a chain love story as a part of CBC (Chennai Bloggers Club) chain story relay. In this we write a love story as this month is for love. 21 Bloggers will write one chapter to make a beautiful love story How do you know it will be a beautiful story? Love is an essential ingredient to spice up our life. Without love nothing survives. So far this love story has seen 13 chapters Previous Chapters Click here Here is the 14th Chapter Lovers day falls on 14th day of the love month February. a very important MOMENT occurs in this love story during the 14th chapter. Do we need any more reasons to portray why this love story is beautiful?
Ahalya was wide awake at 4 am in the morning. A blank faraway look was on her face, while her dad was snoring away peacefully in the adjacent room. She had another sleepless night, silently crying away her tears into her pillow while music was smoothing her ears. Her phone rings with the ringtone “Alaipaya Alaipaya” .
Guru’s picture appears in the caller Id. She picks the call in hatred and says, “What do you want now? Stop calling me.”
Guru responds “Come on Ageeiii stop being too stubborn.”
Ahalya: “EXCUSE me you call me at 4 am to blame me and tell me that I’M STUBBORN!”
Guru: “It’s been a month since you spoke to me properly.”
Ahalya: “So? Why do I have to listen to your nonsense at 4 am in the morning?”
Guru: “because you love me and I love you.”
She disconnects the call and hangs up the phone immediately. The events that have happened one month ago flash in front of her now.
Ahalya kicked Guru with flooded eyes; the eyes conveyed nothing but anger against the talks which these men were having in such a situation—Guru, Ahalya’s father, Sanjay and Varun at the lobby of the hotel where they were all staying. Guru and team have failed in their mission to prevent the brutal bomb blast. They received information that the bomb implanters have already traced the whereabouts of Guru and team. So Guru decided to send all the innocent commoners including Ahalya, her father, and Varun to a safer place. The responsibility was handed over to Sanjay. He was ready to drive off in a large vehicle that accommodated all of the remaining people. Even Ahalya entered the vehicle with others. She throws a sharp glance at Guru with her eyes that have been flooded with tears. Guru looking at Varun said “Take care of Ahalya please.” Varun nodded his head in affirmation.
Everyone can hear distant gun shots; they knew those people have arrived. To strike with a vengeance at the team that attempted to prevent their bomb blast. The vehicle has started moving slowly, Varun was about to close the back door of the vehicle, while Guru saying goodbye to everyone. He cannot leave like the others for he has a duty to perform. He stood there holding a gun in one hand and the pain of seeing the departing Ahalya in his heart. Will he ever see Ahalya again? A thousand questions were running in his mind. At that very moment, Ahalya jumped out of the slowly moving vehicle, came running to Guru and embraced him. Since the distant gun shots started to come closer towards them, Sanjay had only one option that is to drive away the vehicle.
Hugging Guru hard, Ahalya let her tears to fall like the pouring rain. Guru felt like he was the luckiest guy ever on this earth. He knew his “Agiee” loved him, yet he never knew that the extent of love was so much that she, his Ahalya would risk her life to be with him. Till that moment Guru thought his mom was the only woman who would risk her life for him. It was the moment when he found another mom or let’s say that someone nearly equivalent to his mom. He tilted up her chin with his fingers and looked deep into her eyes, only to see the depth of unconditional love she had for him. That was the instant when Guru actually fell in love with Ahalya! Till then he had feelings for her, he was in love with the idea of being in love with her. But that very minute he fell head over feels for that woman who risked her life to be with him. For Ahalya she would rather die happily with Guru than live in this world without him.
The gun shots were getting very closer to Guru and Ahalya. That’s when they realised that the Swedish Army had arrived at the perfect time to fight back those terrorists. Gun shots were being fired from all the directions. There wasn’t even hope that they would survive this disastrous moment. Yet in that violent scenario, Guru and Ahalya merged together in their hearts and decided to grow in love together for eternity. The Swedish Indian embassy did the necessary arrangements for Guru and Ahalya to get back to India. By this time Ahalya’s father and Varun had reached Chennai already. Varun was shocked to witness Ahalya jumping out of the vehicle just to be with Guru, without even worrying about her life. Seeing her unconditional love for Guru, Varun got his answers for the questions he asked her few days ago during their unexpected meeting in the lift. Varun understood that although Guru might not be Mr Perfect as a person, he was THE Mr. Perfect for Ahalya’s eyes. Varun was glad his favourite girl, his first girlfriend has found her better half.
After all the formalities were done, Guru and Ahalya headed off to the Airport. Before boarding the flight there was a female running towards Guru. That female was his ex-girlfriend alias childhood best friend Geetha. She was very concerned about him. Ahalya got irritated looking at the way Geetha was getting very close to Guru. Now all three of them boarded the flight back to Chennai, the seating arrangements in the flight was made in such a way that Guru was seated in the middle of Ahalya and Geetha. In the flight Guru and Ahalya started to have a little argument regarding Geetha.
Ahlaya: “Why is SHE sitting very close to you? Why is she touching you while talking to YOU ONLY”
Guru: “Hey come on we are friends alright, what’s wrong in this?”
Ahlaya: “Whatever….why did she come now?”
Guru: “Agiee, Geetha is a journalist working for BBC India.”
Ahlaya: “SO WHAT? If she is a journalist what does it matter to me?”
Guru: “Ahalya try to understand I have taken part in a huge mission. She is after all a journalist interviewing me about that mission.”
Ahalya: “Wait I thought you worked as a secret hacker, then how come you debrief things to a JOURNALIST?”
Guru: “Uuffoo Miss Ahalya, you won’t understand all this. It’s our thing you see.”
Ahalya: “Oh oh oh ohhoooo, YOUR THING huh? FINE LET IT BE I’m not …”
Guru: “Hey come on, calm down Ahalya. Why are you shouting?”
Ahalya: “OKAAAY FINE. I WILL SHUT MY MOUTH.”
This kind of argument continued here and there though their journey back to Chennai. Even after coming to Chennai they didn’t stop. After few days Ahalya started to avoid Guru completely. She refused to meet him, ignored his calls, and started to stay away from him as much as she can. Guru didn’t give up on Ahalya, he continued to make all efforts to meet Ahalya and calm her down. Unfortunately everything ended up in vain.
[Back to the present]
Ahalya’s phone rings once again. She picks up. Guru shoots his questions as usual.
Guru: “Ahalya tell me why are you angry with me?”
Ahalya: Silence.
“Is it because I took that dangerous job of preventing the bomb blast? or is it because I never told you I used to be in those secret missions as a hacker? Or is it all because of the presence of Geetha?”
Ahalya: Silence
Guru: “Please tell me the reason for your anger. Agaiee pleaaaaseeeeeee. If you want, please scold me how much ever you like. You know the worst thing in this world would be the silence of a girl friend to her boyfriend.”
Ahalya: “Oh god! Please.”
Guru: “Just tell me why you are angry at me just the reason Agaiiee”
Ahalya yells at him and cuts the call. But this time she has a smirk in the corner of her tender soft lips. And murmurs to her he is such an idiot . . .
Guru in frustration throws the phone on his bed which accidently hits the TV remote. Automatically the TV is switched on and this song is been played on the TV.
Guru now throws the remote at the TV muttering to himself “It was way easy to handle, bomb blasts, terrorists, kidnappers, hacking, international embassy, culture shock, homesickness and even holding a Gun in my hand in the fear of when I am going to die. But it’s very very very hard to handle a girl in a relationship.”

Hi Sivaranjini,
Great job
!
The story is back to Chennai now!
But seriously if someone is this jealous as you have portrayed Ahalya to be….
I think you have portrayed her uni-dimensionally!
Seems to be a shift from the sweet-lady portrayed by the earlier writers.
I was planning a snow-white setting love story in Sweden now you have moved the story back to Chennai.
Let’s see how this goes!
Cheers,
Mahesh
Thank you Mahesh
